Buhari’s Victory, Reward for Persistence

There are many colors to Gen Muhammadu Buhari as a person. There are many credit to this man. All the information to his credit, are available online. My focus with this write-up is his tenacity to a course he believes in until he achieved it. Gen Muhammadu Buhari is the Abraham Lincoln of Nigeria and perhaps of Africa.

In 2003, he contested for the position of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and lost to Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

In 2007, he contested for the position of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and lost to Umaru Yaradua his kinsman

In 2011, he contested for the position of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and lost to Dr. Goodluck Jonathan

In March 28th, 2015, he contested for the position of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and won against the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan. First time in the history of Nigeria that an opposition party will win against the incumbent ruling party. Persistence is Power. Persistence will help you break records anytime if you continue in your legitimate course.

I remember in 2011 Gen Muhammadu Buhari cried in Abuja and said, now or never. He pleaded with Nigerians to vote for him then or never again will he contest for the position to be the first citizen of our dear country. He believed in himself that he has lot of service to offer Nigerians and he wouldn’t want to be deny. Thank God for people like Pastor Tunde Bakare, Malam Nasir el-Rufai and others who prevail on him to contest again. Thank God for the platform that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu made available for the General to actualize his believe and dream for Nigeria. Thanks to all the network of Nigerians for their commitment to our noble course (Nigeria). Persistence will bring the right people your way that will help make your dream come true.

Old age is not a barrier to achieving your dream. He never allowed age to deter him. You can still achieve your dreams no matter your age. The age of Abram and Sarai, could not hinder the miracle of Isaac. The age of Caleb could not stop him from possessing his inheritance. Stay focused to your legitimate dream with all the breath in you and victory is sure for you at the end of the tunnel.

The lessons for all Nigerians is to believe in this course call Nigeria and we must persist until will make Nigeria one of the best and developed country in the world. We must not give up on Nigeria. We are not Nigerians by mistake. We are here to make Nigeria a better place and the envy of nations. God’s agenda for Nigeria and Nigerians is to make us a blessing to the entire world. We are the best country on earth and we have to be proud of this by deliberately making it happen.

The lessons for you and me from Gen Muhammadu Buhari’s persistence. We must be focus until we are successful. FOCUS means: Follow One Course Until Successful. Gen Muhammadu Buhari followed his course to lead this country one day and come May 29th, 2015 he will be sworn in as the next president of Nigeria. Your best days are here. Don’t give up on your course. “Never, never, never, never give up.” Winston Churchill

Gen Muhammadu Buhari’s persistence shows to us that, we must always act as if it were impossible to fail. His first attempt in 2003, second in 2007, third in 2011 and now in 2015, were attempts and actions of possibility. He never saw failure but he believed he was learning how not to fail. Our actions must be actions that reveals possibilities.

My desire and prayer is that Gen Muhammadu Buhari will be another Lee keno that transformed Singapore to a first world country from a third world country in Nigeria.

Have a purposeful, passionate, peaceful and prosperous day and week.
